D4 headlights

I have been told by an acquaintance that xenon headlights are being stolen from D4 cars . Apparently the lights give off very little heat and are being used for cannabis growing ! LR have no stock currently .

New one on me. In the millions of posts on here (slight exaduration) not sure I've seen any involving theft of lights. ISTR it occurs on D2s and possibly FFRRs.

This is old news tbh ...but it was reported on RRS's ...don't think I've heard of any actually being lost on D4's Smile

RRSs & FFRRs, same difference. Just don't tell the FF owners that. Snigger

Had mine taken from my D2 while it was parked in a carpark in Nuneaton for a few hours. Came back to the car (front parked up to a wall) got in & headed for home. Thought it was odd that both from indicator bulbs had gone, but was running late (SWIMBO going out) so just kept going then as I got near home, thought the headlights were really dirty so was a mental note for that evening to run a damp sponge over them.

Got home - reversed down the drive, SWIMBO went out, I got the kids off to bed & went out with a damp sponge only to find two Censored ing holes at the front of my D2 - hacked off was an understatement! Fortunately Rimmer Bros in Lincoln had a couple in stock, but it set me back a few hundred quid & I had to do my best to make the wiring fit as the thieving scumbags cut the wires to get the proper connectors too.

Still have to visit the same area, but don't use the same carpark anymore!

Headlight theft

Got mine stolen off me LR4 2014 two nights ago Sad

Adaptive Xenons, replacement cost £2900.

No claims discount lost and £500 excess... NIce!!!

LR said they have had 6 done off the forecourt at doncaster in one night.

This is now very common I know two other people (friends of Friends) who have also had theres done.

How do I stop this happening again???

Also you are right my dealer has got one, other one is on critical order no ETA!!!

Take them out every night Wink

I am 'guessing' but you could probably remove both lights without a key within 3 minutes.
