Brembo with TRW kit.
I figured if I trust them at 140 mph on a race track they should be able to stop the disco (noting speed and weight are not the same thing)!
And £200 saved over the LR OEM price although admittedly I still have to fit them but local Indie only wants less than a ton to do that and he lives one mile outside the village. He's worked on 4x4's for years. And he will fit my shiny new gloss black 103 alloys at the same time

Think I need to order some of these as well, misses came in tonight and said the warning has come on for the brake pad wear on the dash.
Had a look at the discs quite badly lipped so think I will just do the complete set front and back.
Don't think discs have ever been changed on this car 2012 with 53k seems about time to get it done.

Are the central hubs on these Brembo discs painted to the same standard as the OEM would be?MY11 D4 SDV6 SE LHD (with remote park heater, heated seats in row 2, heated steering wheel and rear HVAC controls!)

Hmmn.
My car is approaching 5 years old and I'm about the do the brakes all round. The quality of paint on the OEM [2011] hubs wasn't great and the issue is of course well documented. Not least here ==>
On other cars, I have had mixed experiences and on one occasion, the hubs on a set of new discs were painted with a very soft grey paint that scratched so easily as I was handling them prior to fitment, I could scratch through the paint with a fingernail!
On that occasion, I quickly removed it all (x4) down to bright metal in under an hour using coarse wire wool and then masked them up and sprayed them with a zinc-rich paint that lasted reasonably well, like this one: http://www.autoatlanta.com/Porsche-Wurth-Z...R1012.htmlMY11 D4 SDV6 SE LHD (with remote park heater, heated seats in row 2, heated steering wheel and rear HVAC controls!)
