Prices for D4s do seem to be string right now for sure...

I paid £18.5K for my 2013 HSE from an independent LR specialist, 68K on the clock, in December 2019. Now 2 years later it has 90K on the clock and similar cars are advertised now at around the same price if not even a bit more. So I think they are certainly holding their value which is good news !!

They may e advertised at those prices but they tend to be historical values put on by the price spike from some months hence . My 16my has dropped about 6k in the last month using the same buyer.
Even a quick look on LR website at approved used tells a story . about six weeks ago they only showed 250 available discos its now over 700 and dealers are worrying about the effect on trades ins they have paid over the odds for. I am looking to change but waiting for the correction to bite.

They are certainly holding relatively strong. My 2016 model D4 HSE Lux with about 27k miles has come down a few grand in the last few months from the WBAC quote, but it is still WBAC quoted slightly above the price that I paid for it in Sept 2019 at half the mileage for ~£33k.

I just popped it up on Wizzle to see what offers I get. I think if some dealer offered me a silly price at £38k, I'd consider selling. It is probably as close to showroom condition as you can get on these and has all the options ticked like black pack, wade sensing, vision assist, remote heating, etc.

Anybody noticed if car prices are reducing because of the conflict and fuel prices.

I would think vehicles with high fuel consumption may be affected, but i don't have any data to say either way.

Not seeing it. I'd have thought the same but Euro 6 D4s seem to be still selling quickly. I've enquired about a few on LR site but they seem to just go by the time I talk to a salesman.

My Discos value on these web sites has gone down significantly, about back to pre pandemic prices tbh.

However, if I were after a replacement new car, absolutely no discounts, so a double whammy.

Don’t know what those that ordered new cars with a lead time of a year plus are going to do if they were depending on a high value trade in.

Resurrection of thread as a couple of members have commented on another thread about values plummeting.
I have been looking for a decent car for my daughter, I may delay this slightly now if prices are dropping. She got way above the price she paid for her car when it was bought a couple of years by the insurance when written off by a lorry .

My view is along these lines above. The good stock is in demand and will shift. People who need to tow will always want vehicles that can and the best they can afford.

Lower down the lines the older less modern stock maybe accumulating... my D4 XXV was a rare beast on EBay this time last year and for top money. Now there are 8, most over 100k and for decent but far less money than before..

There's still demand it's just for what and when...and with all the ULEZs and the like coming into force, the where is also a big factor..

I think the recent jump in fuel prices will also play its part.

People will really have to need or really want a D4 to justify the cost. Whilst they are amazing vehicles, everyone finances are under a squeeze and if you’re in the market for a new car, all the running costs are going to be very carefully thought about.

I personally think they are going to keep dropping as newer cleaner and cheaper semi alternatives come into play.

That’s very high. Part exchange prices have always depended a large part on what you are spending. Hope you enjoy your two full fat range rovers. Laughing

How do you only manage to put 14k mikes on a 6 year old car? I can do that in 6 months! Laughing

Our CH-R hybrid is going in shortly ..... WBAC priced it at £25k plus last October, now down 6k on their website but worth more to others.

If this isn’t a typo or a wind up, why didn’t buy bite their hand off.

Because the new car is not available until October and with lots of dogs and living in a remot'ish area we hae decided we could not depend on one car until then!!
