D4 Variable Service Interval: Longest Interval? |
|
Hey guys, my D4 has done 18,500 miles (in just over 15months) since it's 2nd service and I'm still waiting for the service indicator to come on, so am just wonder what the longest gap is that anyone has had mileage wise between their D4 services based in the service indicator?
TIA

Service interal is not variable (except shorter in arduous conditions). It is 16,000 miles or 12mths, whichever is soonest.

Better book her in then.
Just checked and the service book definitely says nothing about 16k or 12month in the reference table it just says it will display a message when a service is due and that's what it did for the last two services, so it's still a bit weird that the message hasn't yet flashed up.

On d3 the service interval option can be disabled. Are you sure it has been seen before?

Yup, 100% sure. I'm too tight to book it in before it's due so relied on that But I've spoken to the dealers and it's booked in now.

Interesting (or worrying, dependent on your outlook), my D4 had 21,500 on the clock before LR UK decided to give it its first service. This was 18 months into it's life and just prior to them passing it on to a franchised dealer for sale.
I questioned this with LR Cust Service and they said, no need to panic.... if there was anything that was wrong it would have been put right.
On questioning the validity of the warranty in that it had gone 6 months and 6k miles over THEIR OWN recommended or statutory service schedule, she said it was fine.
Thoughts? If in doot, flat oot!!

My thoughts exactly. and I'll be asking the same question when I get there next Monday, but then my LR Warranty expires 28th anyway, so anything new will be Warranty Directs issue
