D4 warranty advice

I'm close to buying a 2014 D4 XS with 98k miles, and a full service history.

Reading through here I'm wondering what people's views on 3rd party warranties. Warranties direct quoted 560 for a 1 year warranty. I appreciate it's a bit of a gamble like any insurance, but thought I'd canvas opinion

My personal view, for what that is worth, is I'd rather spend £560 and have an opportunity to have an argument over payment of a potential many £K than have zero recourse

WD appear to have the better reputation than most

Drp297 - Welcome

Like Adam I'd opt for a WD warrantee. I suggest you dedicate a lump of time to reading up here on the options.

I seem to think that the level of cover offered for a new policy decreases a 100k miles, so it might be worth taking a 2 or 3 year warranty.

IIRC the warranty doesn't start immediately unless the car is still under warranty?

Look carefully at the service history on-line, and get the original invoices.

Good luck.
