Thank you! I’ve completed adaptive cruise and then also removed it and added it to my current Discovery so I’m not scared to take things apart!
Your comment about canbus cameras being used for only a few model years helps clear up my main concern. I’ll follow the parts list on page 3 of this post unless you think 16MY is different in any way?

Yes of course I’d forgotten you’d done that you lucky so and so
If you take a picture of your blanking space on the rear handle I should be able to see if canbus or not (canbus camera has a bigger square slot).
If you do have that type I have one in the garage but think they were used on a short run for MY15 onlyStolen - D4 Loire Blue

If you had the small slot this would be a cheaper way of getting those genuine parts

Here is the blanking slot.
I had looked at that very part on eBay and thought it looked like an expensive way to get a camera initially until I read this thread and understood the micro switch was needed. I think I’ll get it if you think it’s the correct one?

Last question from me before I start buying second hand parts… is the 2016 camera definitely the same as the MY10-MY14 camera? Are there any quality improvements etc in the 2016 camera I should hold out for?

I think you are going to be fine - no complaints that I've seen on the forum - its was just the surround cameras after MY14 that were terrible.
Anyway - its eBay - buy it, fit it and if its rubbish send it back

It was from a 4x4 breaker and I think they just sent the wrong part. My evening wasn’t wasted though - I did the front section of the wiring instead

I finally got to fitting this today. I had the small MY16 camera which I fitted in my handle but then the donor car for the loom had the larger MY15 camera so I had to swap the handle again. Easy install and it works with the bendy lines etc.
But… a few little issues.
I can’t work out how to get the camera menu showing on the screen. Does anyone know?
I also have strange behaviour when trying to disable the lines or press the trailer hitch up button. As soon as I press the button, the display reverts to the black parking aid screen with the front and rear sensors showing. Has anyone come across this? I could post a video of the behaviour if it helps?
