My tbh appears not to be working so need to sort that one as well.

With the wiring modifications, are these behind the heater controls and relatively easy to get to (assume pull forward the heating controls which is quite easy).

I'm in!

As long as this works with a 2005 D3, that is...

Have we now established that the fbh will continue to work as standard after the new equipment is fitted? Obviously they are now saying that we will have to cut into existing wiring so it does beg the question?

It would be good to hear just what's involved to fit the kit.

On the price - it still seems pretty steep for what it delivers, especially considering it's totally new & basically untested by the masses. I'd have thought 200-250gbp for a plug and play kit would be about right, at 350 I've got to wonder if it's worth it. Hopefully the danhag guys can make the price a little more attractive!

If the original (and great) idea of the guys on this site sends the correct can-bus message to the fbh by the oval timer, can it be possible the same system can send the power to the interior heaters as per the wiring diagram kindly sent by danhag?

I,m also in as long as this works with a 2005 D3. Hopefully the blower fans dont empy the car battery before the interior (and the engine) is heated up.

Best regards, Geir

Not exactly plug and play with having to chop wires?

Hi,

does any one know if this works on the 2010 RRS or D4?

Neil

The 2010 cars have a different protocol for the heater compared to the D3. When I tested Danhag on my D4 it didn't work which is why I worked out what was needed for the factory option on the 2010s

Pere

Hi Pere, Can you PM what's needed to get this to work on my 2010?

thanks Neil

Just emailed these questions to Daniel at Danhag.

Hopefully he will drop in soon with answers.

1. Does it work on the Range Rover Sport? (I supplied the wiring diagram of the climate control to your company through Gerd)
2. How involved is the installation(we need more info, maybe a copy of the instructions)
3. Battery drain, how much, any safety system?
4. With you kit installed, does the burner still works in automatic mode as per standard installation(-5 C) ?
5. Wiring, the web page lists a wiring option at 79 Euro, which is included in our deal, what is for?

Another thing that occurred to me today while passing all the stuck cars in the Dublin mountains: Will it work regardless of what type of Aircon/Heater you have Question

I only have the basic heater, not the fancy one with the heated seats and all that jazz...

Here the latest informations I received from Danhag

1. Does it work on the Range Rover Sport?

I checked out both wiring diagramms and they seem to be the same, so our heater-blower-control box and the gsm-remote-control should work with the range rover sport to.

2. How involved is the installation(we need more info, maybe a copy of the instructions)

I am just finishing the installation guide, so there isn't a beta version available. The Heater-blower-control-box is installed behind the clima-control-panel, the GSM-remote-control inside the glove-compartment.
As both devices inside the car, you will have to lay an cable to the heater.
All wires are connected to existing original wires. The hardest part is probably the dismounting of the clima control panel.

3. Battery drain, how much, any safety system?

The heater-blower-control-box and the GSM-remote control consume about 20-30mA, depending on the GSM signal quality. The connection to the heater is permanently monitored. In case of any failures, the GSM-remote control will turn off the heater.

4. With you kit installed, does the burner still works in automatic mode as per standard installation(-5 C) ?

Our kit does not affect the automatic mode.

5. Wiring, the web page lists a wiring option at 79 Euro, which is included in our deal, what is for?

Normally, we ship the GSM-Remote-control and the heater-blower-control-box with universal cables about 20cm long, so you can install the devices by yourself. This would be the preferred solution as long as you are experienced in automobil electrics.
The cable harness is customized for the Landrover discovery 3 and comprises the fuse holder, the two connectors for the heater-blower-box and the gsm-remote control and the wires needed. Please find a picture of these cable harness attached.

I think is about time to get confirmation of who is committed to buy so that we can start to get the orders rolling in.
