Dashboard Panels
So today I thought I'd try and stop the two annoying little rattles in the dashboard.
Fix no.1 easy. Little dob of Sugru rubber for top glove box
Fix no.2 not so successful. The panel below the steering wheel also had an irritating little rattle. No problem I thought. As I opened the panel I heard something slowly 'trickle' (not liquid) down inside the dashboard. Not knowing what it was I put two little dots of Sugru on the corners and tried refitting. This was the point that I discovered a) it rattled because one plastic catch had broken off a while ago & b) the 'trickling' noise was the second plastic catch falling down
So now I can't refit the panel because there isn't anything to hold it up. Here a couple of pics, anyone got any suggestions?
Look forward to some advice Spoons

Not sure if I made it clear. The bits that have broken off were part of the panel that is still 'the dash board' not the 'flap that I have removed. It looks like it could be quite a big job to replace that part!?
I was hoping there might be a 'trick/easy fix', at least easier than taking a big bit of the dashboard apart, fingers crossed.

Could you replace both side of the catches with the bumper tow cover clips

clips have sprung off, you are looking for two metal Spring clips, not plastic, they will be under the dash panel somewhere, one clip is strong enough to hold cover up It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Gentlemen, once again you have come up with the 'quick/actual' fix I was hoping for
Just have to hunt around for the clips now
In the event of me not finding them I bet one of you chaps knows how to get replacements
And as you've been so helpful I've got a P.S.
How do I get this little grill of the next panel up? I'd like to access the cabin temp sensor.
