Martin, this site and forum are brilliant. It would be even better if we could gather a few facts. I am far from a computer buff, so what is the chance of setting up a statistical form to gather both good and bad items together with general points on a 1 to 5 system?
For instance it is obvious the Pre-heater is an issue together with software and its resulting errors and situations, but for what models etc. When did they appear, after what mileage or like me, I touched the park brake switch when the car was parked and switched off. I noticed the park brake light illuminated for some time then cancelled. When I started the car in the morning, I received a park brake fault. Maybe a software problem is triggered by such actions as in my case, so LR should know and if children ‘fiddle’ as they do, heaven knows what could result, data would be good.
