Got an email from Tony at Tentsaway regarding the full-size 4x4 tent. He is longer holding a stock of these tents but he can get them for £309 including delivery.
He did mention however that another person was interested (DISCO3 member?) and if we both bought one the price would go down to £270.
Is anyone else interested, that way we might be able to push the price down further on what looks like a winner to me.

I think it would be a good idea to place an end date for definate buyers, perhaps the 3rd of May.
I have emailed Tony again highlighting that I may be able to accumulate a number of people who wish to purchase one asking him for a revised price, which hopefully will be lower.
We can then gather details by PM and then email Tony to let him know our cheques are on their way to him.
Shipping time is 10 days from the U.S.

5x model 80000= £238.00 ea.

These prices include delivery to your door and all duties and taxes.
So JMC now joins us in the group buy, each tent is now at £248! not bad considering a LR day tent costs £462.83! and doesn't have a groundsheet.

Just noticed that Tony mentions the prices for the 80000 model, I think the model we were looking at is the 81000.

Got another email from Tony this morning...
Hi Martin,
You are quite right I got the model no wrong, I did in fact mean to write
81000-This is the full size SUV tent.
The cost covers all U.S and U.K taxes, I have to sort all this out before they
are released from the dock, they are then dispatched to me and I then send
them on to you.

Just a thought but has anyone checked the Khyam web site www.khyam.co.uk its along the same lines as the LR day tent but has inner tent and ground sheet if required HSE TDV6 Silver : "Avin it large"
