Hi Folks,
Having had my new HSE for 5 weeks now I am delighted! Except...........the dealer has been terrible (Stratstone @ Doncaster) and one of the issues is 'dealer fit IPOD connection'. I asked for this when I first ordered the car, it wasn't fitted when I got the car and......they now tell me that they can't get one!!! I am gutted because this was one of the 'must haves' on my shopping list when looking for a new car - so that I can control the IPOD from the steering wheel (a bit sad I know but....).
A local specialist can fit me something else (at Stratstone's expense!) which gives remote access but I didn't want any other controllers cluttering up the dash. Can anyone recommend a copy fitment that will do the trick i.e. a proper lead in the glove box which will charge the IPOD as well as allowing control from the steering wheel? Many thanks. Phone Nick, Parts Manager at Yeovil Land Rover (also The Large One on the site), he'll let you know what is going on re Ipod kits, and does special forum discount. It's an easy DIY fit, if I can do it anyone can!
They should be back on the shelves end of this month
They are being re-software'd for the new 3Gs phone, bit of a landmark in a way as LR are being proactive TLO has left the building.......

Can we get "old" ACMs (non cradle type) rezapped to work with the 3Gs or is it a new kit (or in my case 2 new kits!!!)???
