Morning All,
My car was in for some warranty work last week and the dealer told me they had given it a full health check and everything was OK.
My brake pad indicator has come on today so I am wondering just how in depth the health check is. Do LR dealers all follow a set routine for the health check and are pads part of the check?
Thanks

Its just an A4 check list. Nothing to taxing for the spotty apprentice. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Have a look on the WiKi , Maintenance section. The Service checksheets are posted there.I know they performed a "healthcheck" but you might find the sheets informative/helpfull

if the 'healthcheck' is LR document, LRML1611 (bottom right corner) then section 5 is where they should be putting the info. If its not ticked they haven't checked it, if it is ticked they they should have checked it how else are they to determine 'R', 'A' or 'G'.
Start kicking up if its been incorrectly ticked, read dealer couldn't be arsed to do it properly.
cheers

They didn;t actually give me the document, just told me on the phone it had been subject to a healthcheck (Which I believed included brake pads) and everything was fine.
Usual story of ignorant staff on service desk, she was chatting to one of the sales people on the phone and didn't even hang up/put on hold to talk to me, just handed me the keys and pointed to my car!
I will be pretty off is they supposedly checked the pads and they are down to the indicators! If you aren't living life on the edge, you're taking up too much space!!

is there a charge for a health check. My car is due off waranty soon but not due a service. Due to possible change of jobs pushing me further away from home i dont fancy bieng stuck at the side of the road for something i could have got replaced within warranty. Will my stealer take it in and give it a check over for me ????

Well if they do as good a job of it as mine you could still end up stuck in the middle of nowhere!
LR say they are doing free healthchecks until the end of Feb but they also say that the brakes are checked as part of that inspection, yet clearly they didn't look at mine.
God how I wish it was easier to move dealers, i'm going to have to try Hillendales and just put up with the extra distance. If you aren't living life on the edge, you're taking up too much space!!
