No I think it's only when they use the crushed glass, that the extra charge comes into play.

Track rod end requires new track rod end and nut - wind on\off like most vehicle then wheel alignment.
Ball joint will require 2 new modified ball joints (one each side), currently on back order. Easiest way to replace is to remove the whole assembly and knock the joint out\in. Parts come to around £50 (x2 ball joints and x6 nuts).
