2012 HSE with 70k miles or 2014 with 120k miles. Which would spend your £25k on assuming one owner and full service history?

Assuming the 2012 is really a MY12:
MY12: 8 speed gearbox, rotary selector, old style D4 front with fairly lights (the rings), clear rear light surrounds, ICE Gen 2.1
MY14: 8 speed gearbox, rotary selector, new style D4.5 front with lines, black rear light surrounds, same ICE
Both probably EURO5 on emissions (the MY14 is for sure)
If the 2012 is a MY11 it’ll have a stick gear selector, 6 speed gearbox, older ICE, etc.
Some people say the 8 speed gearbox is much better but car wise they’re otherwise quite the same.
I’d probably take the 2 year younger one if I had to choose and everything else being equal. Some parts are two years newer. Some parts of course last less because there’s more miles on the vehicle but still.

Assume the cam belt has been done on the newer? It will also be due on the 2012 by age?
What other work has been done on each, arms, compressor etc? Arms won’t be far away if not done on newer.
Is the newer an adblue model, not sure when that came in, car tax the same?
Colour? I had a 2012 but never really loved the colour, 2016, love the colour and other wee tweaks, it feels a better map as well
New shape mirrors on newer? silly but I just like them so much more. Joined the BMWX5 45e group

hope this doesn't make things hard for you I just got a late 2013 corris grey hse with 57k miles from a l/r dealer with 2yrs warranty for 25k
work done prior to collection mot, service, fixed towbar, rear pads, centre exhaust section, new suspension compressor,2yr warranty,2yr roadside assistance,2yrs mot insurance think I did ok
if it helps the 2014 with 120k is way overpriced I looked at a similar car that was 16k,pay yer money and take your choice, get the reg for the 2014 and go to webuyanycar and see what its worth please excuse any grammer/punctuation mistakes,i'm thick, thankyou

mines not the facelifted version but to be honest its seems to only be the lights that are different (oh tax is cheaper also) and some colours are changed (mines a corris grey which is a 2014 colour) Orkney grey was 2013
theres always 2014 lights on a certain auction site all the time if that's your thing but all I would say is go for what you want or you'll be for ever wishing for something else if you don't get what you want please excuse any grammer/punctuation mistakes,i'm thick, thankyou

I assume you didn't get your 2013 on the Approved website? Nothing but 2014 onward on there.

Looks like the mileage for a £24k D4 HSE isn't quite so high as suggested.
2012 45k
2014 70k...
