Bit of a long post but i wanted to help rule out stuff already tested.
Towed the Opus back from Dorset the other weekend and just after setting off there was a delay when accelerating, accompanied by black smoke out the exhausts. Checked the hoses where I could see them and found no splits so left a nice trail of soot all the way back to Yorkshire
Back home I checked the hoses. Big hose had some oil round the bottom but the medium hose had loads of oil that it had spread under the car. Found a split behind the jubilee clip on that so replaced both of the hoses. No trail of any soot or oil round the short hose.
Cleaned the MAP which was covered in crap and took it for a road test. Much less smoke but still a definite delay. Checked the actuator which was free as a bird and initialised/shut off fine on start up/shut off. Ran some EGR cleaner through and road tested. Still the same.
No sign of air leaks, cleaned MAP off again as covered in soot again.
Don't think it's the turbo as pulls like a train after the delay and actuator looks sound. Don't think its the EGRs as they are ~ 12 months old. Can't see any oil on the intercooler. No fault codes either.
Anyone got any thoughts before I bite the bullet and take it to the local inde?
