In desperate need of some help! |
|
So I started to undertake the slightly cumbersome job of replacing the oil pump which had a cracked shoulder. I also renewed the gasket it was sat on as that was busted.
Before I could start putting her back together I managed to get hit by a van on my motorcycle. I have been in and out of hospital/surgery and still have more surgery to go.
We are desperate to get this thing back together but nobody will help us as it’s ‘half done job’. I get that but this is slightly extenuating as far as circumstances go.
Anyone know anyone that might be able to come help put it back together over a few weekends/weekdays? Paid of course!
Really appreciate any guidance on who I could contact.
Thanks! Paul.

Thanks for the prompt I should have been more specific anyway
So the lower oil sump needs putting on, then diff back in, axels/prop reconnecting. Then it’s the stuff in/around the engine bay so alternator/tensioners/belts and such.

Feel you pain and hope you have a speedy recovery.
May also help if you advis eon what type of facilities you have/where the vehicle currently is etc?Makes a big difference to someone offering help if its in a warm dry garage compared to sat in a field open to elements!
I know as mine is currently completely stripped on the rear end whilst i replace ALL suspension and associated parts after i have completed the monumental amount of welding thats needed And i wouldnt wish that pain on anyone having to come and lye on my exposed driveway to finish stuff off!

Ha! Well as you mention it it is actually on the driveway. Not ideal but the weather is warming up
It’s up on axle stands two each side rated at 3T each completely overkill but I’m a belt and braces kinda person with that sort of thing.
Rear is intact so it’s sat on its rear wheels as normal.
I replaced the front suspension struts and the compressor and air tank, some valves along the line and also the door lock mechanism, done so much to this car and this was all looking good, albeit going a little slow, and I’m now in a position where I physically can’t do the work. Real bummer.
I have got all the tools needed (probably) to get it done, unless whoever it is wants to bring some/all their own. But it’s the person I really need!
