How do you.... Remove the centre Console

By centre console I mean where the Centre Arm and Magic Suspension button are!

Hope you can help

Oh, it's for a PC install (to finish it off!)

Thanks

Undo the torx screw that hold the park break lever.

Pull gearstick upwards ( auto box must be in "P")

Grab front end of silver plastic (near front cup holders) pull upwards. Then release the back end buy the cubby box (fridge) .Just little clips.

Undo cable connectors for TR etc.

Remove the top silvery part out the way.

Remove 2 torx screws at back end of consul ( behind some platic covers that look like small air vents - near floor -- you may be better putting the seats forward to see them )

Slide whole consul backwads (towards 2nd row of seats ) this will release it from some small round clips)

Lift consul upwards and out .

Thumbs Up

Does the gear lever just lift out Wiggs? I had a Parrot car-kit fitted recently and the installer tried in vain to remove the gear selector knob, he prised out the silver plastic trim from the knob looking for a lock screw etc I guess but the piece of trim won't go back properly now and keeps popping out Evil or Very Mad

Just pulls upwards ..no screws or anything ...give it a good tug

Warning ..do not place your head over the top when pulling Shocked as it may hid you in the face when it does release.

Make sure its in "P" though ...manual gearstick makes no difference

Thumbs Up It works, got the knob off and will try to repair the trim insert.

If I have to replace it (or rather Orange have to), is it leather on the SE/HSE as mine is only plastic?

(MY2007 on - lift rubber mat at front of console, under the front 12v sockets and undo two more torx)

My MY2007 had 2 extra torx right at the front of the console assembly, discovered after no manner of tugging would slide it back Embarassed
