Dicso 4 (HSE or Landmark?)

Hi, New member here. I had a disco 3 for a while and enjoyed it and am in the marketplace for a Disco 4 I have had a look at a couple on the web and at a few dealships I was just wondering if any one could tell me the difference between the HSE and the Landmark models? I just want to make sure I am not missing a trick. Thanks in advance Chris

No, I have a humble 06 D3 S model as an offroader. I haven't gone down the D4 route as main car. It's just a bone of contention with those that bought the supposedly limited edition Landmark, then it goes into virtually permanent production. Whistle

Thanks for the reply Russell. So what does a HSE have that a Landmark does not?

I believe diffrent leather, Landmark also has diffrent colour contrasting stiching. I believe the LM sat nav is a smaller screen, why not get a spec sheet from dealers and compare or try on line for the spec.

Wink

My D3 was an 07 HSE,which was an awesome vehicle in every sense Thumbs Up

I've now got a "Not So" Limited Edition LANDMARK Laughing ,which I also think is awesome Mr. Green ,but tbh I prefer the interior of the Landmark and the black grill & side vents ....

But as said above both are great Land Rovers Thumbs Up

Russell I started on the LR website but only mentions the below models:-

 Discovery 4 3.0 SDV6   List Price (£)  CO2 Offset  VAT (£)  On the road price (£)
 GS  £30,858.33  £100.00  £6,191.67  £37,995.00
 XS  £36,025.00  £100.00  £7,225.00  £44,195.00
 HSE  £41,858.33  £100.00  £8,391.67  £51,195.00

So I could not find out too much about the Landmark and I can't use the build function on the site as it uses adobe flash and I have a mac!!!! I will try on a proper computer tomorrow.

But thanks for the reply

Chris

Devonchilliman. Wow really like what you have done with yours great photos. Have you swapped the Landmark wheels for disco 3 wheels what size? Is this possable with no modifications? As I did ask the dealer if If I could use the standard wheels for spring, summer and autum and some spare winter wheels for the shooting season with some off road tyres. Any recommendations? I will not be doing and proper offloading just wet/frosty fields sticky gate ways etc and maybe some foreshore if I go duck shooting. So if I can put disco 3 wheel on what size are they and what tyres could you recommend? Thanks Caddy

Yes they are D3 19" HSE wheels which were on my D3 HSE,they are shod with Goodyear Wrangler Mud Terrains 255/55/19,they fit straight on without any mods Thumbs Up

I prefer the ride with the 19" alloys/tyres compared to the 20"

Devonchilliman, That's good to know about the D3 wheels, the dealer told me this was impossible!!!!!!! Because the of the size of the brakes on the D4 are a lot bigger than the D3 and they needed to be min 20". Not a good sign when the deal knows nothing!?!? Thanks Caddy.

An interior shot for you, although not great, the sun was very bright making the seats appear grey, but they are black with white stitching, but you can see the Grand Ivory inserts in the door
