Difficult suspension fault

Hi everyone,

Got a 2006 disco 3 tdv6 hse

I bought the vehicle with a suspension fault, first job a new compressor, that got it of its bumpstops not a problem, warning light still on and normal height only, max speed 30mph. Read the fault codes and got c1A00 - control module, and a few other u codes relating to lost comms but put that down to the poor battery.

Pulled front arches out, checked all plugs, all good, checked battery terminals and fitted a new battery as the old one was a bit sluggish.

Carried out a sucessfull height calibration but all to no avail, i've checked to see if it isn't in tight tolerance mode and it isnt. I use a snap on verdict diagnostic tool and for the most part has not given me any issues but to be on the safe side i took it to a LR specialist with an auto logic and he gets the same fault code C1A00. His was more desriptive and stated ride height module wasnt calibrated. Brought it home sucessfully calibrated it again and hey presto code pops back up instantly.

Does this mean the ride height module is screwed? or are there any other reasons as to why it wont store the calibration info?

It does have an engine system fault relating to turbo a problem which is evident when warm as it blue smokes. Is this likeley to cause problems elswhere.

Sorry to waffle but im ready to torch the thing.

Many thanks in advance

Dan

United Kingdom 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 S Manual Zermatt SilverDiscovery 3

If its any help I had disco 3 ( manual) with "HDC fault" and all special options would turn off and suspension would lower.
Turn off ignition and reboot every back up and working, for a while, this fault occurrence was random.
Tried lots of repairs including new compressor and height sensors.
three garages later and gear box switches. still no joy, whilst clutching at anything that might help the steering monitoring was out. recalibrated problem solved.
