My old D3 manual was averaging just under 29 mpg over 3.5 years that was based on recording all fill-ups and miles covered (Not trip computer)

20 town, high 20s on a run.
If you continue to drive it frugally you will have more money to repair it

My old D3 before she died. 90% of that cruising at 60mph on CC. Peaks in mpg are soon wiped out by normal numbers. And beware high mpg numbers, mine were going up dramatically before the engine let go. Just saying.

Numbers actual, not lie-o-meter.

That was using the on board computer but honestly it was 50- 56 -60 mph all the way most of the time at 56 and 50 due to roadworks so max economy!
My Disco 3 is manual and low mileage.

I did a on-going test for a car magazine for 3 years. So covering winter, summer trips with 6+ persons and full-up luggage [ never a roofrack],
running as fast as possible at the edge of fines..
In summer down to Portugal around 135 real kmph straight, around 9.5 L / 100km , so 30.05 MPG... 8) , also many many short distance trips around town
[ but electricly preheated in winter] , towing a horsebox, everything..

Lucky you.
I did a 500 mile round trip over the Remembrance weekend and averaged 30 (28 actual) driving steady, obeying speed limits and driving as efficiently as possible. You cant win them all! And that was mainly long flat A roads and motorway.
