HI I HAVE A 2011 DISCOVERY 4 . 7 YEARS OLD END OF DECEMBER , 42000 MILES 0N CLOCK I AM GOING TO HAVE THE CAM BELT CHANGED EARLY JANUARY IS IT A GOOD IDEA TO HAVE THE OIL PUMP DONE AT THE SAME TIME?? many thanks , alan morgan.

I'd disagree with that ^^. If the work is being done the only cost will (should) be the new oil pump. Although it is low mileage and age is the reason for the change it is still in my opinion well worth doing.

D4 does not need the Oil pump changing, it has the new strong one fitted, if you want to change it just because you can then go for it, but I cant see the need really, its not going to stop the crank from breaking as in some early ones.
