Disco 4 Spare set of wheels

I'm considering buying a spare set of wheels for my Disco 4 that can be put on whilst I have my 20" HSE spec wheels refurbished and new tyres fitted, once the existing wheels have been refitted to the car I can then decide wether to re-sell the spare wheels or keep them and shod them with some winter/AT tyres.
My question is: which wheels, spec and size would be the best ones to go for considering I want to fit some AT tyres? Any help is very much appreciated, thank you
Never say never! After all, I bought a LandRover Wink

I’m on 20’s because they came with the car, but if I had a choice, Id be on 19’s as the ride is a little too firm on 20’s as you may have noticed. AT tyres tend to have tougher side walls and therefore can be firmer still. So for me, it would be 19’s to give that little more depth to the sidewall

And if money was no option, 18” steels from terrafirma or the compomotive 18”
Alloys. Tyres are a bit cheaper too

As above.

My first choice would be aftermarket 18”s but oe 19” LR rims are next best and easy to find.

Thanks for the replies, I've managed to buy a set of 18" OEM used wheels that i'll probably stick some winter tyres on...

Not wanting to set alarm bells off, but will they fit? When I looked into it, I was told the D3 18” ones were too small as the callipers/disks are bigger on a D4. Honestly not sure if that applies to all of the D3 wheels, only what I was told, not actually experienced.

Hopefully I’m wrong

Unless your D4 is an early 2.7L engined model, which it isn’t, 18” oem LR rims will not clear the front brakes.

18” oem rims will fit over the D3 V8 brakes. The later being a popular upgrade and one I did myself. So if you have already bought them, you should be able to sell them on.

So I'm guessing that they'll fit on the back of my D4, if so I can still get the originals refurbed in sets of two...

In theory they should fit on the rear axle. I can’t think of anyone who has fitted them to the rear only though.

One guy who lanes in a Disco 4 took an angle grinder to his front brake calliper to shave it down a bit so the 18" wheel will fit...

I decided to buy compomotive alloys rather than take an angle grinder to it... but, its an option. Somebody here may know more. I neither approve nor endorse this plan.

I ruled out that option due to the fact that insurance companies are likely to take a dim view of any brake modifications.

Pretty much that was one of the reasons I just forked out for PD1881s. Trouble is, insurance isn't based on common sense anymore its all systemised. All you'd have been doing is just shaving off a bit of useless excess metal from the brakes, but they wouldn't have a box to tick for that on their system so it would just end up as brake modification and likely the problems snowball thusly... starting with higher premiums.
