I don't see any difference, both of the A pillar trims align to the same position relative to the roof weather strip.
Where did you get your tolerance information from and how do you adjust an A pillar trim horizontally?
I’m the CTO of a vehicle armouring company and ALL car maker uses this range of tolerance .....
For several reasons, glass must never touch the body steel parts, glass tolerance (glass camber, this is the main reason), installation tolerance.....Discovery 5 tdv6 HSE Corris Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition

the original screens were fitted by robots and were positioned perfectly central to the body.
when you say "perfectly", the robots will fit things "within tolerance". one corner may well be "perfect" but if you think of the size of the window, it only needs to be out by a tiny fraction of a degree to put out all the other corners by a millimetre.
And the windscreen itself will be made to a size +/- a tolerance.
Land Rover don't make the screens, Pilkington's do … so LR logo or lack of it is not going to make a difference to the size or quality of the piece.
I repeat my self, the less precision part, in this case, it’s the windscreen double camber formingDiscovery 5 tdv6 HSE Corris Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition

Everything ever made, that has its own drawing, will have an upper and lower limit on dimensions and over something the size of a windscreen, less than 3mm is very probably perfectly acceptable.
The windscreen could also be bigger at one side when measured from the centre line, also perfectly acceptable. Not only that, if you got a screen made to the upper limits and put it next to one made to the lower limits, you'd very probably be amazed at the difference, yet both will fit your body shell. Mods:

You asked for opinions. If you think you’re point is valid, take the car back to the dealership and have a pop at them, end of.

No I did not ask for opinions, I asked for observations..
This thread started off as a simple "Does Your Screen Look Like This" question.
Since the original post the usual keyboard warriors have trashed this thread with there usual antagonistic and argumentative 'opinions'.
I see this happen so many times on this forum, the keyboard warriors just can't help themselves..Gone 2016 Landmark D4

Weyboat, I think you need to accept that there are many variables involved with this issue, so many in fact, they cannot be measured using a digital caliper at random points using imaginary lines as datums, it just can't be done.
There will not only be windscreen build sizes tolerances to consider, but the body shell will also have its own build size tolerances, both of which will contribute to your gap issue.
I deal with this very issue on a day to day basis, on something considerably more technically advanced than a Land Rover and have extensive experience in build tolerances, what you're experiencing is typical of that experience.
I do appreciate however that we all have our own standards and if you're still not happy and simply cannot live with the problem, your dealership needs a call but expect them to throw up all the build issues that have been mentioned here.
Finally, regarding your keyboard warrior comments, there's little point having a pop when other posters are actually trying to help, just because you don't agree with their opinions. Mods:

I’ve always thought that a primary function of removable A pillar trims is to cover/hide the different size gaps that are so prevalent on large windscreens.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE
