Discovery 3 Lost Sat Nav, Radio and Blue tooth Phone

Hi All,

I recently replaced the heater matrix in my 57 plate disco, which as you will know requires half the dashboard and centre console to be stripped out.
Once all was back in, I noticed i have no sound from the radio, yet it has power and picks up channels, I cannot connect to the phone and I have lost sat Nav, TV and Terrain response screen. all was fine before i started- so I am aware its something I have touched! All the plugs havge been checked for security.

The codes i get off my IID tool are below in the screen shot.
Would someone be able to advise where i start looking for the fault please?

It’s the orange optical cables. Check they are all plugged in.
See if one end has a red light coming from it.

It’s fragile so you may have broken it

Pete K,

I assume this involves pulling the plug individually from the Sat Nav then the Stereo?

Thanks

To see the red light, yes.

It will only be there a few seconds.

Make sure the radio is on

Pete K,

It looks like its the Sat Nav screen since the output side of the junction is very faint and flickering, all other points are a strong Red led.

Thank you for your help, very much appreciated.

So you can bridge out the nav to prove the rest of the system works.

If you unclip the tiny tab in the middle of the optical connector, you should be able to push one optical lead out and then butt it into the other lead. Then turn radio on and see if you get music

Is the display stuck on the landrover logo ?

Well, it wasn't the Sat Nav screen.
I used a spare to test this and have no change.

I only had the Green Oval.

I,m just waiting, to see if there is a D3 available, where i can test my Sat nav and head unit by direct switch.

Oh this car is a challenge - but i forget all this when driving it Lol Laughing

So think of it like this....

The headunit is the source of the network.

The other items generally listen to the network, and pass on the message, so if the other items are bypassed one by one with one of these you can see if the other components are functional
