Hi, @ Gareth
It has been stood for 4 months, not 4 years, and yes it has had a new electronic parking brake module so no worries in that respect. The transmission and clutch are flawless, it was showing as have a clutch slave cylinder failure on the DTC's so must have had a clutch? How would that show in the DTC's?? Also have fitted a super strong magnetic neodymium drain plugs on all the works and it's got OEM top quality transmission fluids, all done right, every moving part has been lubed for maximum respect?

@ Pete K, I haven't done anything wrong to jeopardize the investment? Just quizzed you wise guys so we can all be sure of a happy mending? I'll let you know how it goes when I pluck up enough courage and glow for liquid gold? Been assured the pump is perfect for the job so their reputation is on the finishing line, not mine? Wish me all the best? Cheers guys and dollars!

IMHO if the like of Steve Nornan Disco Mickey and Flack suggest changing the pump with so much hard work and expense at risk I would change the pump
I know Steve Norman he has done lots of work for me
I know that Yeovil Land Rover who are main dealers have sent cars to Steve Norman to trouble shoot Discos that they have been unable to fix
I would trust these guys judgement
I have 3 Mini Cooper S one of which will if left standing for a few months will drain its oil pump
I then have to split the oil cooler pipe from the block pour oil down the cooler pipe remove the plugs put it in gear a rock the car to and fro to prime the oil pump so i really feel your pain
good luck with solving your issue Land Rover 90 - deceased

You've had several of the best experienced and technically minded on this site advise you but you are still looking for further advice?
My advice is if you don't want to listen, then the door is over there 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Got the message, thanks all, I'll update when all is resolved with the specified pump? So did anyone learn something new or was it all for the hall of records? I take it you cared to observe my works, seems I didn't get the point across? Too many experts and not enough oil in the lamp!
@ DG, Still awaiting official factory figures and oil pressure ratings on an engine test rig?
