Welcome here, too! Thumbs Up

Driving from Indonesia to UK would be similar to trip they did in the book “First Overland” (UK - Singapore). Would be an epic and cracking trip! 8)

Welcome.

9000miles in and the V8 still brings a smile to my face. Why?

Today, at the inspection site the guy doing the inspection of my car commented that it has a very nice purring sound and that it’s in good shape underneath. Thumbs Up

Once the V8 virus infects you there is no turning back... Rolling with laughter

Snap

I had Hunters LR do my recent MOT and they commended it, remarking it was better then some of the sales cars they were "running".

Very Happy Thumbs Up

I’ve owned or driven plenty of vehicles but this one makes me happy. The last time that happened was with a land cruiser V8 in the desert a while back but it was only on loan to me. My SWMBO thinks I’m nuts and have a midlife crisis Rolling with laughter

Today we had a nice snow storm here with < 50 m visibility, slippery roads, even the larger highways snowed in even with a lot of snow plows keeping them open and the car performed excellent.

I have just checked my oil, it has done 4000 miles since its last service, and it has used none Thumbs Up .

Not bad for a block with 135,000 in it.

V8 LPG London

Just did 1000miles in a weekend. Very Happy Had the car a year.
V8 Silver, not yet seen another V8.
Got the LPG fitted after a month.

Been having an issue with the Idle hunting. Got the car TerraCleaned on Friday before the trip, it's like it had a new lease on life.

Managed to do 1000miles on around 300litres of fuel, (combined petrol and LPG for less stoppage). Dashboard says 18.9mpg

Need to sort my camera out so I can take some better photos.

It’s actually a D3 4.0 liter V6 petrol.. if you mean https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201801152766360 ? I didn’t do a license plate lookup but that’s what the ad says at least.

Looks to be detailed nicely but you can see it used to be quite dusty or something inside, picture 24 of the rear audio controls is quite grey underneath the fascia and they haven’t bothered cleaning that up. Same with the door card where the speaker part is fastened. Wink

Close ups of leather makes it look to be in very good shape.

Even to us Finns it looks a bit pricey for what they’re asking but 50000 km is quite low Thumbs Up

That is a Ford Ranger 4.0 V6 engine instead of the jag 4.4, not considered most reliable the 4.0, but I have seen them for sale used in the US with over 200K. So I guess some have been. That engine was only in the 2006 mid 07 models in the US only. That 09 must be from the middle east.

It’s registered in September 2009 according to the DVLA site so I guess one of the last ones out of the factory?

Not sure about Middle East - The 4.0 liter one at is registered as a Discovery 3 in the UK. At least in KSA they were sold as LR3 (I was in the store) and LR4 badged and I know it was the same in UAE. Perhaps that changed at some point or depends on the country.

The 5.0 liter one referenced above on eBay is from Qatar which confuses this a bit Thumbs Up
