You need to use an IID tool to change the settings in the CCF, if you don't have one then you'll need to either find a forum member near you that has an unlocked one or take your car into a local LR independent specialist...

Changing the lights aren't plug and play because you have changed the type of light rather than just the unit.
I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

It maybe possible to fit a relay and fuse in line to sort it.
Try it on one side and see

Battery + terminal to 30A fuse then long wire to rear of headlight area where you fit the relay. Connect to relay pin 30.
Relay pin 85 to ground

Cut the dip beam wire going into the headlight connector. Blue something

Connect the car side to pin 86
Connect the headlight end to pin 87

See if that sorts one side.

If it does cut the wire on the other side.

Then run a wire from relay pin 87 via a 15A fuse across to the other side headlight and connect to the wire going into the headlight

Buy a used IID, licence it for your car and make the change, then sell on the IID if you dont need it any more
 Must stop buying shiny toys....

Weird. I know the CCF mod needs doing but they should work AFAIK. I switched mine from halogen to xenon projectors, 09 D3 XS, and i get the little flickery dance at start up, but that stops within probably 1-2 seconds.
Probably the best bet is to go to a local LR specialist and get the CCF changed and lamps checked after - would be my choice rather than playing with relays or wiring.... Good luck Thumbs Up

What he said ^

I've just carried out the swap from halogen to xenon, both worked without changing the ccf, just a little flickery on startup as mentioned. Once the ccf was altered they have been fine. Definitely start with the two minute ccf change before chopping cables around.
