Apologises if I'm not on the correct site but thought the Disco 3 and 4 site were together? I currently own a 62 plate FR2 HSE LUX and I'm looking to part ex it for a Discovery 4. I've seen questions about heated steering wheels here and wonder if anyone knows if the heated wheel from a Disco 4 16 plate will fit a 12 plate. Both have paddle controls and rotary gear selectors. Yes will fit I’ve just put a 14 plate heated wheel in my 11 plate and it all works and fits fine except the paddles that I have to activate as originally these were not fitted on my year God created heavy armour on 06 sept 1916, on the 7th the devil stood to attention!

It will need activating as well, needs an iid tool, it’s not something a main dealser can do. Well worth while, better than gloves any day. Joined the BMWX5 45e group

The wheel will physically fit, but I don't think it will work, you need to do your homework, around MY14 they changed from 2 wire fitting to four and they are not interchangeable, do a search on the site for "D4 heated wheel" It can when others can't,

They will all fit including FL2, getting them to work is another matter, for My12 you need a MY13 or less wheel for it to work, along with a heated clock Spring.
My13 RRS on my D3 all working including paddle shift.
