I seriously considered changing from the V8 LPG D3 to the RRS but I have the 120 litre tank where the seventh seat should be. However, even with the tank,I still have more boot space than the Sport. Convert the Sport to LPG and I 'll have no boot space at all. Go for the TDV6 and I loose the performance I love. Coupled with the extra cost of the Sport there was no decision to make.

The D3 has its rear end and the RRS has a problem above the bonnet, there is a big ugly gap! But we are all different, I'd have either but given the choice D3 wins, although a RR could tempt me!
If you're having problems reaching things at the back of the Disco get one of those boot space sliding floors, The small wife loves it.
You can't use the 3rd row seats though, which I need to use regular.
You should'nt have all those wives then or have you been busy knocking lots of kids out. That'll teach ya. HSE TDV6 Silver : "Avin it large"

Yes, you are right, but I have now worked out what caused it, and measures have been taken to prevent future occurences.

I may well be unique here then, but I actually do like the rear end styling of the disco! I like the shape of the tailgate and the huge rear lights. The chunky bumper and flat back all contribute to the overall style of the car, i feel. I wouldn't have it any other way.

They compare the RRS and LR3/Disco 3, and were fairly hard on the RRS due to pricing... I guess they don't quite understand the "bling" appeal vs. cost.

I don't own either, but get to drive lots of Sports and D3s when collecting cars from dealers, and I personally would buy a D3 anyday of the week.
I am very much into 'driving' having run TVRs and M3s for the last 5 years, but now drive a BMW X3 for work, and I found even the SS Sport a little underwhelming.. I just didn't find it particularly enjoyable to drive (my X3 diesel is far 'sportier'). The really liked driving the D3, possibly because I didn't have any preconceptions about it.
One of my partners in crime is chopping in his M5 for a D3 this year too.
