What are your prefered options of transporting your dog in your D3? i currently have the dog guard and heavy rubber matt. Both good but still getting dog hair weaving itself into carpet. Tried LR's Fleible loadspace protector but found it rubbish. Was thinking of the high sided boot matt but not sure if it will fit with dog guard in place. Any opions or pictures welcome.

Short of plywood panelling out the boot as in my old defender, there isn't anything at present as far as I'm aware.
Did consider making something, as previously mentioned.
Possibly LR will come up with a hard load space protector, the rigid type that comes right up the back of the seats and side panel, I'm certain there are this type out there made by 3rd party's for other 4x4's.
I'm not holding my breath though. Will probably revert to a Defender before that happens.

Have looked up some stuff for u.

These guys show loadspace protectors as I described, not tried them personally, been a bit busy lately.
If u get anywhere with them I would be interested to know how u get on.
Oh and half the other contributors on here we all seem to be K9 taxis.

I use the genuine dog guard and loadspace protector. Get a better vacuum with a rotating brush, the hair comes right out of the carpet... But only if you vacuum, mine is currently brown from all the Chessie hair back there 
I'm currently struggling with my travel companion as he was in the boot when I was rear-ended a few weeks ago, and now he avoids riding in the truck... He used to love it so much. Anyone know if this will just work itself out, or should I be trying something different than just making him get in and come along? '05 LR3 HSE

I use a Lintran Dog box, works great, keeps the dog and his dirt in one place and allows the load space to be used at the same time for other stuff.

Ducati, friend of mine had similar issues with his dog after a similar accident. He ended up getting one of his kids to sit in the back with the dog for a few trips until she got used to it again

You could also try letting your dog get in the side door and hopping into rear as the 6/7th seat passengers would.
Then let them out the rear at the end of the journey, might help break the link.
Incidently one of my Chessie's won't jump in the back of any motor, think he likes the chauffer treatment too much, stubborn  . 
His mate's in like a shot even when I don't need him.

I had a special heavy duty ground sheet material stiched up for the Td5. It came up to the back of the second row seats, up to the top of the rear bins and right to the door. The hooks at the rear made good catches but I did need a long length of elastic rope to hold it up at the rear seats.
Trouble is it is now to small for the Tdv6 and there are no catches to hold it up.
Still as a solution for a wet sandy or muddy dog it is great. Go and see somebody who makes camping trailers they will have the right materials.

That's what mine is doing right now! He stubbornly puts his "foot" down when it comes to the boot... But he'll jump in the 2nd row without any issue! He's never been permitted to ride in the 2nd row, and he never had a problem with the boot before...
A few days ago I had the 2nd row door open, and he jumped in, sat in the middle seat, and refused to come out. Chessies! Stubborn, they are, sometimes
I absolutely love our CBR. He's our first, was a rescue dog, and (shhh don't tell my labrador) I'm all CBR from here on out!!

I had this problem with my Disco TD5, took a while to get my dog to travel in the boot again. What I did was to put my dogs dinner bowl in the boot a few times and let her eat it their. Excuse me but what is a CBR ? If it was a bike, then I would understand, but when it comes to dog, I am just wondering...
Our Poodle (I guess that the english name for it...) but even though he is quite old (16...), nearly blind and so on, my wife told that he took to the Disco 3 as a duck takes to water... Love at first sight it seems...
Now, even though the car might be at access height, our dog has to be carried in... Too blind to see the door...
