Half way through an oil and filters change.
Found the reason I had for a few drops of oil appearing on the floor, looks like when the fron diff was changed before we got the car they had forgotten to tighten up the diff drain plug!! Was almost fully out!!

Is it worth checking the front diff breather valve has been changed?

Replaced a rear drop link with a Meyle HD version.
Obviously my replacement of drop links didn’t go as swimmingly as Paddington!
Had a rear broken and OMG how hard it was to get off. 3 hours on one side!
Ended up in the dark with my multi tool cutting the bolts off! Just the other side to do now.
At least that’s not snapped... yet

Pulled a guy in a RWD Lexus off a grass verge that he’d got stuck on after dropping off the kids at school, was surprised how little it took for him to become stuck.

Just checked, and it's old style, so will order up a new style and get that fitted - £35!!! arrgh
Also whilst under the car, there is a nasty leak from the rear of the gearbox (6sp Auto), so need to get back under and figure out whats causing that, there was also a leak on the O/S front of the bell housing by the starter motor, no idea what that could be.
And to top it all off there is a nice leaky patch at the front O/S by the intercooler pipe, so that'll be a strip down job at the weekend to investigate.
I was hoping the move from a D2 to D3 would stop the driveway looking like it had a nasty case of spots, seems I was wrong

Broken it
Alternator died on it.
Managed to limp it home with it slowly turning off every programme and slowly lighting up the dash.
It cut out and died outside my house.
So, you can get 4 miles in rush hour town traffic with a dying D3.
Taking alternator out tomorrow morning with help from forum friend and will get it sorted.
