All it took was a few spanner type things, a wrench or two and ‘thingy’.
Pretty sure all of that could ‘travel’ easily, so a pm, promise of pizza and 5 star hotel and 1st class flights .... pretty sure you would be able to arrange a home visit.
That or how about a road trip? See the sights on the way over, book a ferry, and stop off at Flack’s for a morning for belts to be done ..... it’s an option?

Changed the oil in the diffs and the transfer box. Not as bad as I expected after 105kmiles bits was certainly ready for a change!
Was a getting the sump guard plate off so the bolts are now well pasted in copper grease.

Replaced the front ride height sensor and sorted out my haywire suspension
Topped up the washer bottle and put five litres of adblue in, hard to believe it had a service yesterday and the low DEF came on today

It is an additive, based on urea, which is to be added to engines that meet the EURO 6 emission standard, Discovery implemented it in D4 as of 2015 or over therelost in translation!

Above 50mph without the radio on is very noticeable but a lot less if at all with the radio on depending on the volume level!
I’m told it’s less noisy with actual stuff on it but not had the bike racks on it yet.
Also there is dedicated Discovery wind deflector available from Front Runner but I’m not keen on the look of it so thought I’d try it without first. D4 MY15 (64) SE Tech, Loire Blue

Replaced expansion tank on car due to ill fitting bleed screw and low coolant warnings. Very pleased with myself as I nearly lost my with it trying to get bottom hose off, and trying to manoeuvre the tank out! Just put the ctek on it to top up battery as it hasn’t been run for a week.

The rack looks really useful but I’m not sure if I could live with the noise everyday. Two man job to get it fitted? How long roughly please? Handy to have one of those.
Last roof rack I had fitted permanently was on an old van twenty years or more ago and the screaming wind and vibrations still haunt me!Discovery 3 tdv6 HSE 2007

If you’re after peace and quiet I’d probably advise against it, I’m sure it would be quieter with the deflector on though.
Takes about a day in total with building it, installing the tracks and bolting the platform on. Two people needed just to lift the platform on to the rails.D4 MY15 (64) SE Tech, Loire Blue

Thanks for that. Think sticking the cross bars on the wife’s roof rails on her Volvo estate will continue to be the best plan!Discovery 3 tdv6 HSE 2007
