Also changed tyres this weekend, Grabber AT3s in my case, replacing the mix of Coopers and Perrellis inherited from the last owner. Also returned to the standard size 255/55R19 instead of the 255/50R19 they were on. Ride comfort noticebly better on Devon’s country lanes.

Took my 54 reg disco for its MOT and it’s passed only notes were about the wiper blades and some condensation on the headlight, chuffed to bits!
Just fitted some LED number plate light units. You can never have enough LEDs on a car.

Detent Spring
Today I replaced the £15 detent spring that shattered into 4 pieces that *forced* me to drive over a grassy verge in front of the captains office due to a lack of reverse.
BritPart P/N DA6247. came with instructions although i had already printed off a how to guide supplied on a thread on here. I opted for the 14mm hex socket on a bloody long extension with a flex knuckle through the wheel arch and with a good tug she came out easy enough.

Plocker, I think Trollman fitted the bright ones, judging by how faded (read invisible) the letters are on the left and right hand side of his registration plate...LeighW

Used the group buy Disklok in the D4 for the first time. It's a doddle to use. Felt a wee bit embarrassed in case anyone passing saw me struggling with a skimpy bit of black nylon in the driver's seat. 2014 MY Discovery XS Indus Silver. Sadly gone. Second last LR of forty eight years continuous ownership.
