Don't rely on the LR Lug Wrench for undoing the wheel nuts
I've read on another Forum people having destroyed the LR lug wrench undoing the wheel nuts. I carry in the tool kit bag a quality 22mm socket with 1/2" square drive and an appropriately long breaker bar to undo the wheel nuts if I get a flat tyre.
This is recommended if travelling where help is a long way from where you might be and there is no mobile phone coverage.

Nor should you rely on the hook rod, extension rod and handle combo to operate the scissor jack.
Had an excellent L.R.E. day at the Malverns this week, and on the last run of the day, pierced the side wall of the nearside front tyre in the water course.
Getting the jack in was fun enough (little peg in small jacking hole), but no way could we raise it without rendering the rods useless.
Result was the call for and arrival of the boss man with a trolley jack.
So, recommend not only a new wrench, but from this experience, either a new handle, or an entirely new jack (bottle, air etc). I appreciate it was 2.5t to lift, but would query QC on the (possible chinese) kit.Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana

Raises a question about how we would be fixed during are Wales Trek if the standard kit is less than robust. With 10 D3s over 2 days off-road driving the odds must be one of us will get a flat. Don't worry, we have a backup truck with hydraulic jacks on board and some spares and experienced guys. That is what the fee is for, not just the route.

I have never had a problem with my Jack or wheel nut wrench supplied with the veh, If the wheel nuts are set to the correct torque you should never have a problem, i always torque my wheel nuts up and recheck them after using the veh, I have had to use the wheel nut brace once or twice when out and my partner and she has not had any problems, I think you should be checking what the wheels are being torqued up to if you are having problems,
