Door locking

Quick question please.
I have the car set up so that once we get to 5mph. all the doors lock.
When we stop, the front doors will open from the inside but the rear passengers are trapped until the centre dash button is pressed.
I have got it into my head that this set up has changed and the rear doors used to be the same as the front - can always be opened from the inside. Is there a fault or am I looosing it? The child locks are not in use.

cheers kev

Its a security thing. Does help prevent things like people grabbing things from the boot when you stop at lights, and hijacking. ALL american spec cars have had this for years.

Its a good thing TBH, unless you forget to unlock them and sit there waiting for the wife to get in through a locked door Whistle

Also stops young kids from trying to unlock doors while sat at traffic lights etc.

can confirm that mine behaves the same, although rear doors can still be opened from the inside by pulling the lock lever before the main handle. This is true even at 50Mph Evil or Very Mad
