Door Locks

OK, so hot on the heels of my 'what's that funny smell from the front of the car' post (yes I now know it is the fbh Idea ), I found myself trying to de-ice my doorlocks with hot water, accompanied by copious amounts of swearing and yanking of door handles the other day.

After what felt like 10 minutes I, errr, remembered that when you unlock the Disco, you don't actually unlock it, just the driver's door Rolling Eyes . I think that constitutes a 'fail'.

I could go on and rant about that moment when you have handfuls of shopping bags, wrestle to get the keys out of your pocket, unlock the car, put the keys back in your pocket to free a single finger to open the boot, only to realise that you haven't pressed the button twice, and have to wrestle with the keys again.

But I shan't.

So is there a ingenious way of switching this mutha Censored ; sorry rather annoying setting off? I'm fairly confident that I'm not going to get carjacked, but either way I'm prepared to take that risk.

Oh and yes I have thought of trying to remember simply press the button twice, but old habits die hard!

Once the vehicle is locked hold both the lock and the unlock buttons of the fob to change. and vise versa to change it back.

it can definately be switched off, off the top of my head I think it's in the settings option. Mine is set to unlock all doors with one button press.

You can also programme the bottom button on the remote to open the tailgate.
