Driveshaft removal help needed

I’ve done a search and nothing of any help has come up. I’m changing the diff seals on my 05 tdv6 disco auto and cannot get the driveshaft out of the diff. Any help greatly appreciated

Well I’m beat on this everywhere I read is just pull it out. Haynes book of lies say use a screwdriver or lever to pull it out even has a picture of it still nothing just laughs in my face.

Looks like dealer on Monday ffs

Injector or heel bar and a short piece of tube is what I used a week ago to do my nsf driveshaft, was still bloody tight though.
Mudshield got a bit bent though!

If you search on here for front driveshaft gaiter replacement or along them lines, there are several posts with pics and descriptions.

I changed my front diff, both driveshafts came out ok. Tight to get moving, but not an issue.

At the Diff end they are held in with a wire circlip sitting in a grove inside the female drive output and onto the male of the drive shaft and so need a sharp jolt or clout to do the initial release then slide out easily.

Having done this job this week I can confirm the are tight to move initially but do come out. I used a brass drift and lump hammer, belt turn belt turn belt pop. Out. Take care with the torque tube end as it’s aluminim and won’t take a smashing. Thumbs Up

Also the seals need a 65 ? Mm socket or similar to reinstall.
