Driving in the DEEP snow

Today I was driving in the 30-45 cm deep snow, temperaure was -6 and snow was dry.

First I tried with settings that had off road height, terrain response as snow setting and low range selected. It went quite well but then I got stucked twice.

Then I put DSC off and also terrain response off, then it went fine and without any problem trough any of the obstacles (low range still selected and off road height off course)

=> set both DSC and terrain response off in the very DEEP and soft snow.

Looks that with Disco 3 I can drive at least in 15 cm deeper snow as with my previous car that was Honda CRV.

See some images loaded today into the gallery.

CRV

Yes, I know that CRV is not an off road car but it went amazingly well in snow. Snow is slippery, meaning that CRV with ESP is pulling almost with 4 wheel.

Its the freelander issue, you've got light weight and good traction but no ground clearance. I've never driven in deep snow but I should think 2.7 tonnes can cause some big problems?

Mainly in the stopping if you get it slightly wrong.
