Driving with Airbag removed

Is it OK to switch the ignition on/ drive when the steering wheel airbag has been removed? Trying to resolve a switch problem and ideally I don't want to keep refitting the airbag before I've tested the car.
I assume it'll be ok if I tape up the airbag connectors but don't want to set something else off Shocked

Don't think it'll set anything off however you'll get an airbag error that'll need a iiD or similar to clear

Thanks DM, it'll be off road testing so the only thing I'm likely to hit is a tree or a deer Very Happy
