DSC kicking in/Steering Angle sensor problems

Just had new tyres fitted, sorted out the bottom tailgate switch and cleaned the sunroof drain tubes. Thought I would take the little one out to see the Christmas lights but only got 40 metres.

As soon as I exceeded 20 mph the near side front dsc kicked on savagely bringing the car almost to a stop. The orange dsc light and the triangle came on. Turned off and they went out but it did the same straight away.

Will look at that in the morning. Have driven it back from tyre fitting and was fine but was only a couple of miles.

I can find threads about it happening around bends but not along a straight bit of road at 20 mph. It is fairly agressive and the front near side really drops when it kicks in. Just like hitting the brakes fairly hard.

Are all the tyres the same size and same age? Did you buy four tyres or only two? If you only bought two I’d suggest the size difference front to rear is throwing out the system.

Could it be a wheel speed sensor issue? Car thinks three wheels are moving faster than the fourth and slams the breaks on. Any fault codes? Sounds like you need to wield the power of the mighty IID. Thumbs Up

Tyre pressures?- flat tyre!
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Update. Bloody thing what was I thinking.......

Four new tyres
Tyre pressure all good.

First thing this morning had battery displayed at 15.1v never noticed that before. Then suspension lowered to access height and special programmes not available.

But it didn't keep braking nearside front on small test drive.

Have attached IID reading.

Steering angle and body control issues are both dated 3 weeks ago, so could be / likely
a contributory factor.

Have you checked that all the wheels are correctly seated and that the tyres are *definitely* all the same size?

Just doubled checked tyres all, the same and all at 2.5 bar.
Look good on rims.

I cleared all faults with IID and re ran test which is what you see.
