Eblag... I never learn

So I've had my car for sale on everybody's favourite auction site several times and now have listing fee's equivalent to a small bottle of hand sanitiser and yet no sale.
Now dont get me wrong I don't need to sell the car, I don't need the money but for f*#k sake the people and questions I've had to deal with is both amusing and annoying.
The auction started at £1200 so que the several offers of £500 cash today, what's your best price ect.
Yeh I'm blagged and yeh I'm having a rant haha

Ohh the pain of Ebay and car sales, put MILs old Honda Civic on there and sold it twice - both times buyer didn't show Banging Head Banging Head

Only positive is they will refund fees if the buyer messes you around

Had nothing but bad experiences with it - it's swamped by fraud and criminals; it's not a safe platform and the buyer is always ALWAYS right. Sold an expensive Nikon D-SLR last year. 5 months later the buyer made a claim saying the item was not as described (i.e. was NOT in perfect working order) as it was now broken.

Paypal refunded her the $1K+ after she was kind enough to send back the camera that she had dropped and broken.

It's a site that's only interested in the bigger sellers now and nothing like it was in the late 90s/early 00s. It was great then.

I've sold vehicles on Ebay, one a van the other a Jeep.

Van sold to a courier company and a very smooth transaction for the full cash amount.

The Jeep Cherokee had a couple of time waster buyers who were going "home to bid now" for an agreed price. Neither did. But the third viewer turned up had a quick look and left a deposit and paid my higher Buy It Now price than bidding. Best thing is I got more for the Cherokee than I paid for it 2 years and 40,000+ miles earlier! And it didn't cost much other than fuel! (4.0L i6)

So all in all I have no complaints about selling on Ebay, though both were a good few years ago.

I have also bought a couple of cars through Ebay and both were very easy transactions.

I’ve sold a number of cars and motorbikes on eBay and never had a problem, In fact I’ve got a Mini Convertible for sale on there now, Whistle

you do get the stupid questions and bids, but the site does have a big audience,
If it ain't broke... Take it apart anyway, how else you gonna find out how it works

Not just eBay.

Had wifes S2000 for sale while back for about £5k. Chap came round to view and siad something like £2500 to "take it off yer hands"

He siad this to me, as the car was parked in its barn, (not the one I keep my Lotus in, or my vintage Fergie) on the yard of my big farmhouse, in 5 acres of land, overlooking StIves in Cornwall, with my D3 HSE shining in the background.

DO I LOOK LIKE I NEED YOU TO TAKE IT OFF MY HANDS!

I put it back in the barn and sold it a year or so later for 5k

If I’m selling anything or even shipping stuff, I never do it from my home. Luckily I have a few properties they can come and look at stuff at or have it collected from. Maybe I’m a cynic, but I’m not convinced some of those coming to have a look are necessarily there for legitimate reasons.
