Has anyone really tested the effectiveness of DSC. I mean REALLY tested it by flying into a corner, foot flat on the floor and seeing if DSC is able to rein in the over/under steer.
To date I haven't been game to try, but will be interested to hear from anyone who has. '06 TDV6 SE AUTO BUCKINGHAM BLUE

Yes done that.
Try the following on a roundabout on a test track
The best way for the faint hearted is find a roundabout that has good vision, if the ‘track’ is clear simply go round the roundabout increasing your speed, at some point the DSC will take control and stabilise the car, then when DSC thinks all is safe it will give you the controls back, Keep the accelerator pressed and you will feel the DSC taking control and giving you control back.
Oh and I did not tell you to try this on a public road.

There is a great corner near me that rises and crests on the left turn - sharp too.
Keep yer foot down and as the D3 hops around the bend the DSC kicks in, reduces power and merrily goes around with no drama... great fun.
But I wouldn't recommend it in the wet... physics still rules over what ever LR can do

Volvo S60 (sorry) 120 mph, 4th gear DSC ON! grab wheel, turn full lock to lock very quickly ( pausing only to look at unsuspecting passengers faces ) DSC certainly works!
Please don't try it, this takes practice. D3 TDV6SE

There are some beautiful twisted roads down here in Tasmania used for the annual Targa Tasmania road race. One year there even was a ML55 entered in the event. '06 TDV6 SE AUTO BUCKINGHAM BLUE

So, what happens the day DSC decides it's not feeling well and wants a day off as you hop around the bend? IE - 05 D3 TDV6 HSE - Zambezi Silver

Yes Ken..... and as we all know the force and motion laws are empirical....whereas the extent of performace of DSC is an uknown quantity in any given situation. 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Try a massive swerve from one lane to the next at 70kph.
DSC will brilliantly haul in the fishtail that normally ends in a 180 degree spin.
I did it in the D3 to avoid a car coming out of a side street. All I had to do was steer the D3 in a straight line and the DSC did the rest.
