I remember reading a year or so ago about blanking off the EGR valves using 2 pence pieces. It came with a set of instructions with pictures and I can remember a bent coat hanger being involved. I've search the forum most of the morning and can't seem to locate it. Can anyone find it for me?
(I'll probably get blanking plates and leave all the pipework on the engine as opposed to ordering one of them kits that allows you to remove the pipes)

you can use either a 2p or 1p? these go into the egr pipes that go from the egr valve to the inlet throttle housing.
the easiest thing to do is to remove the pipe 2x8mm bolts and a clip at the top and a 8mm support bolt, tape the coin to the lower end of the pipe with electrical tape and refit the pipe.!!! jobs a gooden.
