Electric seats - But not what you think!
Sorry to ask this - I have searched for days but cant find anything.
We have fitted some Discovery 4 leather seats into the project D3 but cant find anything to say how we get the drivers seat to work. The seats that came out where manual cloth. The passenger side went in no problem and works fine the drivers side is dead. I've read hundreds of posts on this and all seem to say there should be a grey and red memory module plug that we tap into to take a live feed. This is not present on the project D3. We only have the black connector shown in the photo below. Where do we take the feed from in this case and how can we get it to work?
Thank you

Thank you. Do I need to swap these round or something? I would of thought this side would of been plug and play same as the passenger side as theres no memory module that everyone else seem to have.

Working back from the seat motors trace the power supply back to the connector block and see if they correspond to the thick black and gr/br wires if not move the connector so they do, this should give you power to the seat motors.

The door cards are fitted and there 123 is indeed next to the handle but the seats definitely don't have the grey/red plug shown in all the other threads ive seen

That's what I thought too. The seat only has the black connector as shown in my photo in post 1. Ive had the carpets out and checked under the center console for the grey/red plug but it isn't present.

There are two thick wires (a black and a green and pink) coming from the seat to the multi plug these match up to the thick black and green and brown shown in my photo in post one. So I guess these are the live and earth for the seat motors
Thank you

Yes, several. I've been and taken a photo (its not very good but you can see the wires coming from the switch, traveling backwards under with a join that connects to the black connector shown in photo one.

Best thing is to get a non memory switchpack, cut away the whole memory module and wire it same way as the passenger seat.
