Electric window not working

Just noticed my rear passenger window doesnt operate with either the driver's control or the door control. All other windows working normally.
Car was serviced only a month ago and no issues noted (although don't know if they would have checked windows?).
Any suggestions as to what may be wrong or where to look?
 regards
Peter

check all your fuses first.

Then it's a case of how much you trust yourself, if checking the fuses is where your knowledge ends, turn around, pickup the phone and ring a local garage who will probably be happy to help.

My initial thought would be if the fuse is ok then testing the feed to the motor, testing the motor itself as well.

Many Thanks

Daniel

Daniel,
thanks for the reply.
However, the window has started working again from both switches Exclamation Question
So I don't know if this is a warning that something is on the way out or a loose connection somewhere?
 regards
Peter

pb...

I used to have mega big glitches with electric windows on a Volvo & my prevoious Disco 2
in Both cases taking the switch apart solved the problem...the contacts in the switch needed to be cleaned....eventually I appled conductive grease to the Disco switch insides after cleaning - problem solved...you also could try a spare / new switch.

Strange thay always sem to fail in the down position just when you are trying to secure the vehicle as well....the law of sod.
 BREXIT - done properly.

Normally caused by too rare use. The switch connectors develops a thin corrosion layer. Just press the switch several times and it will normally start working again.

Electrics generally need to be used from time to time, (which reminds me that I haven`t used my winch for a year). Thanks for the reminder!

Had similar on the drivers door switches. Turned out to be the switch pack and connectors had a loose connection. LRA in the UK sorted it with a judicious prise of the screwdriver on the connector.
