Just phoned Elliot Engineering in Pulborough and asked them how much to fit a Torque Converter ( just bought from Bristol Transmission ) on my Disco 3 2006 with 80000 miles on the clock. He informed me that it wasn't worth doing as it's a " body off " job and a Disco of that age would be " barely worth doing "
Needless to say I told him I'm wasting my time continuing this conversation.

Maybe they just don't want to do the bigger jobs but there are ways of saying that rather than saying your car isn't worth the £700/£800 to do the work.
