Enabling Apple CarPlay on Disco 4 HSE 2016

Gents, can anyone help. I'd like to setup Apple CarPlay on my D4. I have an iPhone 8 that I've tried plugged in to the glovebox usb, then, following phone instructions it asked me to hold down the talk button on the steering wheel. No vehicles are shown as available. Is this a feature I have to get turned on by a dealer? Or can it be resolved in another way? the spec for the vehicle says "LESS InControl Apps",not sure if that's relevant or not. I'm an engineer by trade, so reasonably capable, but no experience of D4s. the vehicle has the Meridian sound system. Any suggestions?
Regards Tom

You can buy a CarPlay kit to give you Apple CarPlay http://www.naviplus.com.au/online-store/La...-p96658106

I have installed the CarPlay from NaviPlus and am happy with it. Requires the removal of the centre console but a good result. Good to have better NAV and I use podcasts a lot, so a great interface. Everything works (radio, bluetooth etc) but you do lose the original LR Nav

NOT CHEAP either!

Thanks for the responses gents. Don't think I'll go to the trouble of a retrofit. The Nav systems ok and I've figured out the new BBC Sounds App and can now play that using the bluetooth connection, so I'm happy for now.

Not sure if this helps but I have a MY10 HSE and if I plug the cable in to the connector (under the arm rest) then select the 'Amazon Music' on my phone and appropriate setting on the screen nothing happens, but...if I press and hold the speak button I get two load peeps and the music comes through - only issue is you have to control the track selection via the phone but volume is on the steering wheel buttons!
