2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 Base 5 Seat Manual Java Black

engine change

hi every one. my bottom end has gone

. so i got another engine. can i change it with the body on . i cant lift body off. im doing it on my own only got engine lift any info would be great thank you for reading my this message any help would be great many thanks mike

You will probably have to pull the transmission back first to disengage the input shaft from the clutch!!
Otherwise it will be a struggle to get the engine off it's mounts with the input shaft/transmission still in place. Be careful, as the transmission is very heavy and unbalanced once it is separated from the engine. Smooth ground, plenty of wooden blocks and trolley jacks will be a must. You could split away the transfer case to make it easier.

With an Auto this is not necessary as the torque converter once unbolted can be left inside the transmission housing. yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ
