Engine Cranking but won’t start :(

Dropped Dizzy at the garage to have the dreaded glow plugs replaced (2 snapped and had to be drilled out🙄) , all 6 replaced, happy days.

Oil and oil filter change done at the same time, went to collect only for it not to start up. But she had started the day before for the mechanics to move her out the bay.

Cost over £1k for the work and she wouldn’t flipping start…… any ideas as to what could of happened, don’t fancy being blind sided 🫣

You'll need the fault codes read to locate the problem, but I'm surprised the garage hasn't already done this since it's likely (but not necessarily) the fault is a result of the work carried out.

It sounds like the connections on the HPFP may not be correctly located, but it could be a myriad of possibilities.

My thoughts are that somethings amiss with the HPFP, spoke with them again today and they said they got her started last night but she wouldn’t fire up again this morning 🤷🏻‍♀️ they were waiting for the ‘gaffa’ to have a look 🫣

2 had to be drilled out so I’m wondering if number 6 was one of the 2 and something has happened or they have simply missed something…….. but surely that wouldn’t be taking this long to figure out 🫣

I’d get it running and give it a drive to make sure it’s all clear of air in the fuel system. Also check pipes to fuel filter are on correctly.

Well, got her back. Apparently a fuse had blown 🤔 if that’s what they say we’ll go with that 🫣 she’s running much better with a fresh set of plugs and they sorted my airbag light out so I’ll take it as a win with a little LR blip along the way.

They have however told me any more issues and to take her back Monday, but so far so good 🫶🏻
