Engine Management Light

Hi,

D3 GS manual.

My engine management light came on yesterday - however it's somewhat confusing.

The light on is the "engine" symbol, but the one without the exclamation mark in the middle.

Looking in the manual it states that this is for petrol models only. Mine's a diesel...

Sorry if I'm being dense or have looked in the wrong part of the manual, but any ideas?

Cheers,

Nick

I had the same thing recently and it turned out to be the EGRs. Replaced under warranty. Thumbs Up

Thanks both. Trip to the dealer then to make use of the warranty...although as the light has now gone off I am sure they will try to fob me off...

get them to put it on the faultmate to see what error codes there are, any issues of note will be recorded in the cars ECU even if the light goes out Thumbs Up

Mine had the same, came on, & then went out when I went over a bump. Was OK for a day, then came back on permanently until I changed the EGR valve (Drivers Side).
You can only know which one is faulty by getting the error codes read Thumbs Up

Took into dealer today for diagnostics (Westover Christchurch) - diagnosed as driver side EGR valve. Replaced under warranty by mid afternoon with no quibbles.

Thanks for your advice all.
